The New Music Educational Project - My Ancient Guitar

Positioning of the right hand

We will release the right arm near the body and then lift it in a round movement, so that the hand will hang sideways, as a natural continuation of the arm. We will concentrate on keeping the joint connecting the hand with the arm relaxed rather than stiff. The hand will be placed above the rounded hole (the rosette). Now we will produce a sound or two, strumming downwards with the thumb.
